ROBOTICS GRIPPER / SELECTION GUIDE

How to select end-of-arm tooling components

Begin with the workpiece and the operation. Select the gripping method, connect the tooling to the robot, then verify the interfaces and operating requirements as one system.

1. Define the workpiece and handling task

Record material, dimensions, mass, contact surfaces and handling orientation. Specify whether the task is sprue removal, part gripping, vacuum handling or gate cutting. Include the weight of the complete tooling assembly when discussing robot payload.

2. Sprue grippers for injection molding

Confirm the gate geometry, available gripping space and sensor requirements. Compare the stated operating conditions as well as the nominal gripping force.

3. Vacuum suction cups & fittings

Describe the contact surface, curvature, material and handling orientation. Cup material and fitting thread are separate choices; confirm both with the exact model and operating conditions.

4. Robot tool changers

Start with the complete tooling and workpiece load, then confirm mounting dimensions, moment capacity and pneumatic connections. Confirm the applicable pulling force and ordering code for your configuration.

5. EOAT mounting brackets & clamp legs

Select the profile connection and shaft diameter together. Compare the dimension letters, mounting hardware and component weight for the proposed frame arrangement.

EOAT questions, answered.

What is end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)?

End-of-arm tooling is the assembly attached to a robot wrist to interact with a workpiece. A tooling system can combine a tool changer, a frame, mounting components, grippers or suction cups, and signal connections.

Are MQC tool changers manual or automatic?

The MQC-50, MQC-90, MQC-150, MQC-160 and MQC-200 models in this catalog are manual quick changers. Pneumatic ports do not by themselves mean that tool exchange is automatic.

How do I choose a sprue gripper?

Define the sprue geometry, accessible gripping area, required force, mounting space and sensor interface. Compare model variants and verify the actual application with the sales team.

What information is needed for an EOAT quotation?

Send the model and quantity, workpiece material and mass, handling orientation, robot mounting interface, available air supply and required sensor signals. Pricing, compatibility and lead time are confirmed during quotation.

Can I order directly from the website?

The website supports quotation requests. Add products to your list, describe the application, and prepare an email to [email protected]. The email must be sent from your email application; online payment is not currently available.
